Matt Hodgson
Lawyer
Born in Newfoundland, Matt has travelled extensively and lived throughout Ontario including Toronto, Hamilton, Windsor, London, and Ottawa, before returning to the Kingston area where he has strong family ties.
Matt obtained a four year Honours History degree at the University of Western Ontario and then attended Queen’s Faculty of Law. Following his call to the Bar, Matt practiced for several years in Kitchener-Waterloo before co-founding Hodgson Sinnett in 2000.
A retired Navigation Officer in the Canadian Naval Reserve, Matt served aboard ships in both the Canadian and Royal Navy and has sailed to Alaska, France, England, and just about every port possible on each coast. Needless to say, when he’s not in the office or in court, in the summer you can still find Matt on the water.
Matt practises Criminal Law and Civil Litigation. He is a past President of the Kingston Criminal Defence Lawyers Association and has sat on advisory boards for various organizations throughout Kingston providing insight and advice when required. Matt is the former Kingston area director for the Criminal Lawyers Association of Ontario.

David Sinnett
Lawyer
Dave was born in Nova Scotia and was lucky enough to reside in many parts of Canada when growing up, including Quebec, Manitoba, and British Columbia.
Dave attended Carleton University and obtained a B.A. in Psychology and Law, with a Concentration in Criminology. This degree developed his interest in legal studies and led Dave directly to the Queen’s Faculty of Law.
Upon graduation Dave worked in both Welland and Kitchener-Waterloo before deciding Kingston was the place he wanted to live. In fact, when Dave and Matt decided to open the firm in 2000, Kingston was their only choice. Since living in Kingston, Dave has married and together they have one child.
Dave practices Criminal Law and Civil Litigation and is a past President of the Kingston Criminal Defence Lawyers Association. In the past 19 years Dave has volunteered for different local projects within Kingston.

Tammy Bramham
Law Clerk
Tammy is a graduate from both the Correctional Worker Program and Law Clerk Program at St. Lawrence College. She has been with Hodgson Sinnnett since 2014 and brings diverse experience and a varied background that helps ensure the best quality support and service to the firm and its clients. Tammy and her partner live in Kingston with their daughter.
